I’m not aware of anyone living with more knowledge of old guitars (electric and acoustic) than George Gruhn. He wrote the definitive book on vintage guitars, titled Gruhn’s Guide to Vintage Guitars: An Identification Guide for American Fretted Instruments. Anyway, I wanted to post a plug for George’s YouTube channel. During the virus, he’s been doing some really cool videos once a week where he answers questions and talks about the history of acoustic and electric guitars. It’s sort of like an undiscovered gem, this video series – really neat discussions.
