YES! Remember these? The Show N’ Tell record player/slideshow also came with a some mushrooms you could eat, which caused you to hallucinate and see Disney characters dancing in mid-air! What could be better? The Show N’ Tell used a record player synced to an automatically advancing slide show on a little blurry screen. This was the shit when you were a little kid in the 70’s. It did have a bigger screen than your iPhone. But the “bring to life” part of the ad is kind of funny – brings characters to life, if you consider showing a picture on a character alive. Solid state construction means no warm up time, kids… unlike your living room TV, which in the early 70s still used tubes.
Regardless, I find these blasts from the past delightful. Dig that poor little girl’s haircut.
