About These IR Files
Here are three IR files, which I made based on my favorite cabinet – an Orange one by 12 cabinet with a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker, and a Shure SM57 microphone pointed to the spot where the cone edge meets the speaker. You can download and use these IR files for free. However, you cannot turn around and sell them. That would be dishonest. Here’s a description of each of the three IR files:
BG V30 2inches
This is the V30 captured with the SM57 from a distance of 2 inches from the grill cloth. It’s a little thinner and has a little more “air.”
BG V30 Brighter
This file has less low end and more midrange and high end.
BG V30 Normal
This is my favorite. The SM 58 microphone was pointed to the edge of the dust cone on the right hand side.
